Project Summary
Kevin Odom’s hillside home in San Diego featured a large, elevated wooden deck and a beautiful set of teak furniture, both of which had seen better days. Years of sun exposure and weather had left the surfaces faded, stained, and worn. Kevin wanted to bring life back to his outdoor space—both the deck and the furniture—so it could once again be a place to enjoy gatherings, meals, and the incredible view.
What We Did
The deck was the first priority. The surface showed heavy wear, discoloration, and damage from the elements. We performed a complete surface cleaning and sanding to strip away the old finish and prepare the wood for sealing. We then applied a custom-matched deck sealer designed for high durability and a clean, modern finish that complements the home’s architecture.
Next, we focused on restoring the large teak dining set on the patio, which included chairs, a round table, and a bench. The teak was deeply weathered and had developed an uneven tone. After a thorough cleaning and brightening treatment, we applied Semco Warm Honey to bring out the teak’s rich golden color while sealing it for long-term protection.
The Result
