Project Overview

We recently completed a comprehensive teak furniture maintenance project for Bristol-Myers Squibb’s Celgene campus in San Diego, CA. With a high-traffic setting and a large quantity of commercial-grade teak furniture, this project required detailed attention and precision to restore the wood’s natural warmth and resilience. Assessing the Condition of the Furniture

Restoration Process

We carefully cleaned the furniture to remove embedded dirt, mold, and previous oil buildup. After a thorough drying period, we applied Cabot Australian Timber Oil (ATO), which penetrates deeply and provides long-lasting UV and moisture protection while enhancing the wood’s natural color. This product was ideal for the commercial-grade teak used by Celgene, offering a rich, uniform finish across all pieces.

Results

The transformation was immediate and impressive. The teak’s honey-golden tones were brought back to life, and the smooth, satin sheen restored the furniture’s premium look. The slatted surfaces now appear clean, evenly colored, and professionally maintained—extending the furniture’s lifespan and improving aesthetics across the outdoor and indoor break areas.
