At a picturesque property in Rancho Palos Verdes, we were hired by Chris Olsen to restore an extensive collection of teak outdoor furniture. The pieces — which included curved loungers, large expandable dining tables, and over a dozen dining chairs — had experienced weathering from sun exposure and coastal conditions. The wood had faded and lost its richness, creating an uneven and dry appearance. The objective was to fully restore the furniture’s natural beauty and preserve it for the long term with high-performance sealing.
What We Did
We began by prepping the furniture with a deep clean to remove surface dirt, salt residue, and the silvery patina that develops over time on untreated teak. Once clean and fully dried, we applied Semco Teak Sealer in Warm Honey — a premium teak treatment that enhances the wood’s natural tones while protecting against UV damage, mold, and moisture.
The scope of the restoration included:
- 3 wave-style teak loungers
- 2 large teak dining tables
- Over 15 matching teak dining chairs
- Teak coffee and side tables
Each piece was hand-treated with care to ensure even coverage and a smooth, satin finish that brings out the golden warmth of the teak.
